when the sun starts to burn our skin and people start to head to the beach, it signals the start of summer. in college basketball it symbolizes the end of, off season and the start of preseason tournaments. for the blue and white squad we are going to play in the Fr. Martins cup that will kick off on thursday while the fil-oil league will start on saturday.
the past 2 days almost everyone practiced already. it's great to see greg slaughter practicing with us again as we approach the games this summer. of course we all know that he is playing for gilas meaning he could be with us today or he might be with the gilas team the next day. and coach norman made the most out of it as we practiced for 3 hours today trying to get in all the plays, for the new guys to cope with our offense. we're kinda cramming for the summer games but knowing that our offense isn't that solid yet there is no excuse to relax on defense which we will rely on the first few games. i think that is what really made this team a solid team for the past years: it is playing great defense!

wednesday next week team goes to dubai to play against lasalle for an exhibiton game on the 15th.
